Online Testing Tools for Teachers
The cornucopia of available online teaching tools can represent a treasure chest of possibilities for the teacher willing to try them. Most are free, many have reasonable learning curves, and can offer new platforms to present ideas in exciting ways, potentially making learning more fun, more convenient, or more accessible. For example:
- Google Docs offers an entirely free and collaborative office suite.
- Second Life offers an engaging virtual world.
- Countless other websites present difficult concepts through audio, images, or video.
Online tools to help teachers with student assessment exist as well. Perhaps they have not gotten as much attention as they deserve, but are, nevertheless, as vibrant and as vital.
The Purpose of this Website
This site was created in partial fulfillment of a University of Hawai'i at Manoa (ETEC 602) assignment under the direction of Dr. Curtis Ho. This Technology Promotion project aims to actively promote online testing tools. A shift in education is imminent. As educators, we must be vigilant in understanding technological changes and actively adapt and review how how these changes can enhance our mission as teachers.
